I ordered three sandwiches: carnitas, mortadela, and queso blanco. I was satisfied after two but had room for a third because they’re not too big and I skipped breakfast. For 40 pesos they’re a fair size. All three had avocado and chili jam along with the main ingredients, but each had its own unique, balanced flavor. It was also a pleasure to watch them made. It appears to be customary to leave the sandwich assembler a small tip, so I did. Fully recommend.

Super delicious! My only complaint is that I didn’t get more. The two ladies present and the shops were also extremely polite. Can’t wait to come back!

La Texcocana is a Tortas( trad. mex. sandwiches) place with a lovely old couple running it, the place has been in operation for 86 yrs, so if you feel like a good old fashioned torta, highly recommended ...

Had to go here for its history. Torteria La Texcocan has been here since 1936, it is the oldest in Mexico City. The tortas are small in comparison to others served by street vendors, but the taste and toppings are simple. They are not piled up like others. The bread is fresh, avocado is just avocado, sauce was delicious and the meat is soft and juicy. Inexpensive and the service was excellent. If you are near the center-near Parque Alameda, give it a try. You won't be disappointed.

So simple, so perfect and so delicious! Since 1936 and you can see why! The family is amazing and the food is even better! A must eat in CDMX !

A tiny place with really tasty tortas. Don't expect those fatty tortas full of ingredients. These are simple but full of flavor. Carnitas is the best!

Fantastic, long standing business selling delicious small tortas. They were so good i forgot to take pictures. i had a great meal having two tortas, asking for extra avocado on each. i had both Pierna and Ham and Pierna and Bacalao. All were delicious. highly recommend it if you are in the area. This family business has been successfully running for decades, now into it's fourth generation.

Super charming tiny torteria. The sandwiches are simple and tasty, the service is quick, and the price is affordable. One of my favorite quick lunch spots in the neighborhood.
